Spring Break Day Camps

Monday March 27th - Friday 31st

Have your child spend a day (or more!) of Spring break climbing, crafting and making new friends at the Valley Rock Gym! Our Spring Day Camps will develop young campers' skills in the vertical world while providing an outlet for their spring-season energy. 


Camps are geared for climbers ages 6-12. We will introduce fun challenges for every level of climbing experience.


$90 per day (20% off if you register for all 5 days)

Frequently Asked Questions

 Our schedule integrates a fun and creative curriculum that has the flexibility to adapt to the interests and energy of our participants. A general structure of the session would look like:

 

9am-9:20am: Morning introductions, stretching, & briefing of daily activities.

9:20am-10:30am: Educational/ skill building activity 1

10:30am-11am: Free climbing time/skill practice

11am-11:30am: Lunch break

11:30am-12pm: Climbing game/ activity

12pm-1pm: Educational/ skill building activity 2

1pm-1:15pm: Afternoon snack

1:15pm-1:45pm: Free climbing time/game/activity

1:45pm - 2:00pm: Closing question, day reflections, stretching.

2:00pm: Pick up


Participants will need to bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, comfy clothes to climb in, tennis shoes, sunscreen and a hat.

Children are welcome to bring their own climbing equipment if they have it, but shoes, harnesses, and chalk will be provided to participants free of charge if they do not.


Our camps have a minimum capacity of 4 participants and a maximum capacity of 8 participants. We are operating with a protocol of pairing 1 instructor to every 4 children.  Camps will not run if there are less than 4 kids enrolled .  Associated fees will get refunded.  


 While our camps will be largely focused on learning new climbing skills, we will break up our climbing times with stretching and other games and activities. We will also have structured times for drawing and other crafts for kids to have restful breaks from climbing as well. 


 Drop off:

  • Youth Instructors will be ready to greet participants at the starting program time.
  • Parents will need to check in their child in the check in/check out binder by signing with their initials and the date/time.
  • After Youth Instructors help outfit their climbers with the correct shoes, they will head to one of the youth climbing rooms to start warming up.

Pick up:

  • At the end of the program, climbers will return their borrowed gear to the front desk.
  • Before heading home, a parent or guardian will have to check out their child in the check in/check out binder.
  • This is the best time to check in with your instructors if you want to check in, or have any questions or concerns.

Spring Youth Programs & Day Camps

For youth ages 4-15, we offer experiential learning that aims to create a love of movement, solid climbing skills and enough comfort, community and fun that youth can take on the challenges and joys that climbing (and life!) offers.
