Our passion is to share the lifelong benefits of climbing with kids of all ages.
6 Lifelong benefits of climbing
Starting with the winter session, we will have a 4:1 participant to instructor ratio. We are committed to keeping class sizes smaller so climbers get more climbing time and more specialized instruction. VRG instructors receive quarterly training keeping them up to date on both hard and soft skills in the climbing world.
Electronics (iPods, Cell Phone, iPads, hand held games, etc) should be left at home. Climbing can provide an opportunity for kids and youth to take a break from electronic distractions, please help our instructors find success by keeping these items at home.
Parents can authorize unchaperoned drop offs and/or pick ups. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to help document this arrangement.
Please carefully consider your schedule when signing up for a VRG seasonal program. Our 6 week curriculum is well organized and each class builds on the previous class. Your climber will learn and enjoy the experience more if they attend each week.
Due to the volume of participants and programs, we do not offer refunds or make up days for any missed classes. We do however provide the opportunity for you to come into the gym with your climber on your own time if they miss a class. You must email email@example.com to coordinate this.
We understand that injuries and medical emergencies are unpredictable and in the event that your child must miss a practice(s) due to an injury or emergency we will evaluate how to proceed on a case by case basis. If your child has an injury or medical emergency and is unable to participate please contact the Youth Program Manager.
The VRG Codes of Conduct is meant to outline expectations of participant behavior to help foster a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment for all members. Please review these Codes of Conduct with your child prior to the program.

Dear VRG community,
With Omicron fueling a record-breaking surge of cases in Oregon and Benton county, we have decided to cancel all community events for the month of January.
While we are very sad to do so, since community is what drives and motivates us, it feels irresponsible to invite folks to intentionally gather in large numbers, especially given how popular some of our events are.
As always we will continue to monitor the virus' impact on our community and utilize CDC and local government recommendations in informing our decisions.
Thanks for your understanding and please stay safe out
