VALLEY ROCK GYM VALLEY ROCK GYM VALLEY ROCK GYM

2026 sUMMER cLIMBING cAMPS!

Enrollment is OPEN!

We are excited to offer Youth Summer Climbing Camps once again! Running from June 22nd- August 31st, our five-day camps provide a fun and supportive environment for young climbers of all experience levels to explore the world of climbing!

Rockstars:

  • Ages 6-8
  • 9am-12pm
  • $280
  • Our Rock Star Program offers a fun, creative, and supportive atmosphere aimed at promoting a love of climbing and movement. Our enthusiastic instructors guide climbers through an age appropriate exploration of fundamental climbing techniques that support the development of balance, cross-lateral integration, nuanced fine-motor skills, strength, and endurance.  Our classes also engage the mental and emotional skills required for problem-solving, emotional regulation, perseverance, and how to respectfully support others in pursuing their goals!

Ascenders:

  • Ages 9-12:
  • 9am -2pm
  • $357
  •  To ascend means to go up, rise, or climb toward our goals—exactly what our Ascenders camps are all about! Designed for youth ages 9-13, this program supports young climbers in building confidence, spatial awareness, and sound risk assessment skills, all while having fun in a structured and encouraging environment. Through positive peer relationships and shared experiences overcoming challenges, participants gain valuable social and problem-solving skills. With increased climb time and opportunities to develop higher-level technical skills, Ascenders climbers can progress at their own pace and chart their way to the top!

 Teen Technique & Training Camp:

  • Ages 12-15
  • 9am-2pm
  • $357
  • This technique-focused summer camp is designed to help athletes strengthen their climbing foundations through intentional movement, precise footwork, improved balance, body positioning, and effective route reading. Campers are introduced to structured climbing training in an approachable, engaging way, learning how to practice with purpose while still enjoying the challenge and excitement of climbing. Each session blends focused skill development with fun drills, problem-solving activities, and supportive group energy. We emphasize positive gym etiquette, teamwork, and respect for the climbing community, helping athletes grow not just stronger, but more intentional and more confident as climbers.

 Drop off:

  • Youth Instructors will be ready to greet campers at the starting program time.
  • Parents will need to check in their child in the check in/check out binder by signing with their initials and the date/time.
  • After Youth Instructors help outfit their climbers with the correct shoes, they will head to one of the youth climbing rooms to start warming up.

Pick up:

  • At the end of the program, climbers will return their borrowed gear to the front desk.
  • Before heading home, a parent or guardian will have to check out their child in the check in/check out binder.
  • This is the best time to check in with your instructors if you want to check in or have any questions or concerns.

Parents can authorize unchaperoned drop offs and/or pick ups. Please send an email to sahalie@valleyrockgym.com to help document this arrangement.
