At Valley Rock Gym, we are passionate about sharing the lifelong benefits of climbing with kids of all ages. Climbing is more than just a sport—it fosters growth, resilience, and a strong sense of community. Here are six key benefits that make climbing a valuable lifelong pursuit:
Participants who are in the Rock Stars camps will need to bring a snack, a water bottle, comfy clothes to climb in, tennis shoes, sunscreen and a hat.
Participants who are in the Ascenders camps will need to bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, comfy clothes to climb in, tennis shoes, sunscreen and a hat.
For all camps, participants are welcome to bring their own climbing equipment if they have it, but shoes, harnesses, and chalk will be provided to participants free of charge if they do not.
Participants who are in the Rock Stars Camp will need to bring their own snacks,
Participants who are in the Ascenders Camp will need to bring both a lunch and extra snacks.
Depending on weather, campers will either eat outside on the patio or in our downstairs youth party room.
Campers will not be permitted to leave the building unless signed out by a parent, or when having lunch outside or playing games/arts & crafts on our patio space accompanied by our youth instructors.
Our camps have a minimum capacity of 4 participants and a maximum capacity of 8 participants. We operate with a 4:1 participant to instructor ratio.
While our camps will be largely focused on learning new climbing skills, we will break up our climbing times with stretching and other games and activities. We will also have structured times for drawing and other crafts for kids to have restful breaks from climbing as well.
